Inspiration:
My inspiration for this piece was Rene Magritte and the piece I was inspired by was The great War. The reason why I was inspired by this piece was because of the flowers and how it hides the face from the painting, like it gives this mystery feeling. When Sketching for my piece I want to leave this puzzle but also weird look to. But I also wanted my painting to have meaning
In many of my artwork use a mask as a symbol of hiding myself: my feeling, expressing, and lying. But I also wanted to express masks can have a other meaning. My other inspiration was Frida Kahlo, the piece that I was inspired by was the The Mask I was inspired by this piece because it show a self portrait of Frida Kahlo and her holding a mask and the mask is supposed to represent her conceal her paint. I was inspired because for my piece, as I want the mask to express they mask of finally learning to love yourself as that is want the flower in my piece represent.
